ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Cornell has forfeited this Friday's (Oct. 22) sprint football game with Navy.
Cornell, who played St. Thomas Aquinas on Sunday afternoon, informed Navy and the Collegiate Sprint Football League office that it felt playing this weekend was not in the best interest of the health and safety of its student-athletes.
The win by forfeit improves Navy's record to 5-0 overall.
The Midshipmen will be back in action on Friday, Oct. 29 when they host Mansfield. The game will be played at 7:00 p.m. at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium and will be broadcast on ESPN+.
