Cam Davis (Sr., Battlefield, Mo.) has been selected as a finalist for the Senior CLASS Award for men's basketball.
Fan balloting for the award, which consists of one-third of the total points, is open now through March 22. Voting by members of the media and head coaches also will be included in the final decision. Click

To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be classified as an NCAA Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence: community, classroom, character, and competition.
An acronym for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School ®, the Senior CLASS Award focuses on the total student-athlete and encourages students to use their platform in athletics to make a positive impact as leaders in their communities.
In the classroom, Davis has compiled a 3.46 cumulative grade-point average as an ocean engineering major. Davis will continue his academic work upon graduating from Navy this spring as he was selected for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology / Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (MIT / WHOI) Joint Master's in Oceanography Program. There, he will work toward a graduate degree in applied ocean science and engineering.
Davis served this season as not only the captain of the men's basketball team, but also as the "Captain of the Captains" for the entire Navy 33-sport varsity program.
On the court, Davis is on the watch list for the Lou Henson Award, which is presented annually to the top mid-major player in Division I college basketball. He earned First-Team All-Patriot League honors this season after leading the Mids in scoring (17.1 ppg) and assists (2.7 apg) and helping Navy to a 12-1 record in league play and a 15-3 record overall.
