Navy’s Cam Davis to Play in Three-on-Three Tournament at Final Four

ANNAPOLIS, Md. –– Navy's Cam Davis (Sr., Battlefield, Mo.) will compete in the Dos Equis 3X3U National Championship this weekend at the men's basketball Final Four in Indianapolis, Ind.  The event runs Friday through Sunday at The Pavilion.

Players from each of the 32 Division I conferences have been paired with another to form 16 combined conference teams.  Joining Davis on the combined team of Patriot League and Ivy league players are Justin Jaworski from Lafayette, Alex King from Army and Devon Goodman from Penn.

The event is open only to seniors who have completed their collegiate athletic eligibility.

Teams play at one basket on a single half court.  Any basket made from inside of the traditional three-point line counts as one point and baskets made from outside of the arc count for two points.  Free throws are worth one point.  Games are played for 10 minutes or until one team scores 21 points, whichever occurs first.  A shot clock of 12 seconds will be utilized.

The 16 teams have been placed into one of two pools.  The teams will compete in round robin pool play prior to single elimination tournament crossover games.

The event will be streamed via Twitter –– @3X3UHoops –– Friday (11:30 a.m.), Saturday (8:30 a.m.) and Sunday (10:30 a.m.), with ESPN2 televising the semifinals, consolation game and championship game Sunday starting at 3:30 p.m.

Previous formats for the event featured conference vs. conference games.  The 2018 Patriot League team consisted of Bucknell's Stephen Brown and Zach Thomas, Colgate's Jordan Swopshire and Lehigh's Kahrom Ross.  The 2019 squad was comprised of Bucknell's Kimbal Mackenzie, Jehyve Floyd from Holy Cross and the Lehigh tandem of Kyle Leufroy and Lance Tejada.

The Big Ten Conference defeated the Big West Conference in the inaugural 2018 championship game and the Colonial Athletic Association beat the West Coast Conference to win the 2019 event.  The 2020 championship was canceled.

The tournament offers a total prize pool of $150,000.
