BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Coming off a standout performance on Friday night versus American, Victoria Tran (Jr., Clarksville, Md.) of the Navy women's soccer team was recognized on Monday as the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week. 

The junior midfielder was all over the field in the Mids' regular season finale on Friday playing 105 of a possible 110 minutes of action. Tran left her mark on the offensive end as she scored just 26 seconds into the contest. That quick score was the fastest goal in the history of the Navy women's soccer program. She finished with six shots and three shots on goal as the Mids battled into double overtime looking to knock off American; the game finished tied 1-1.

In addition to Tran's awards, Chloe Dawson (Fr., Fairfax, Va.) was noted in the honorable mention section of the Patriot League's award announcement. The freshman defender played all 110 minutes for Navy in the 1-1 draw. Dawson made an impact on offense as she provided Tran with the lead pass over the top that resulted in a Navy goal just 26 seconds into the contest. As a defense, Navy held American to seven total shots on Friday.

The top seed in the Patriot League South Division, Navy will begin Patriot League Tournament action on Wednesday night when the Mids (3-4-1, 3-1-1 PL, 3-0-1 PL South) host the Loyola Greyhounds (3-1-1, 3-1-1 PL, 2-1-1 PL South) in one of two semifinals. The contest at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility is scheduled for a 6 p.m. kickoff
