ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Navy women's tennis program ended the 2020-21 season ranked 10th in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's (ITA) Atlantic Region rankings, the national association announced on Wednesday.
This marks the third time in program history the Midshipmen earned a year-end ranking in the region. Following the 2017-18 and 2012-13 seasons, Navy was also ranked 10th in the Atlantic Region.
During the spring of 2021, the Midshipmen collected an overall record of 7-4 and finished with a 3-2 record in the Patriot League. Navy made its seventh appearance in the Patriot League Tournament Final where they took on top-seeded Boston University. The Midshipmen secured their spot in the tournament final after rallying from a 3-0 deficit to upend Army in the semifinals, 4-3.

Jillian Taggart and
Meghana Komarraju represented Navy on the All-Patriot League Teams. Moore and Taggart earned first-team honors while Komarraju was selected to the second team. The three honorees are tied for second-most in program history and most since the 2017 season.
In the region, Navy was tied for 10th with Richmond, while national tournament qualifiers Virginia, Old Dominion and James Madison held the top three spots in the regional ranking.
