The 26th-ranked Navy squash team (12-7) put together perhaps its strongest showing of the season in knocking off #14 Franklin & Marshall 5-4 on Sunday afternoon at the Prager Family Squash Facility. The see-saw match included three ties, but back-to-back wins by Matt Wang (#3 / Fr / Malvern, Pa.) and Henry Sparkman (#5 / So / Darien, Conn.) gave the Mids their first lead (3-2). The two teams split the remaining four matches, including a five-game victory by walk-on Ben Balser (Jr / Brooklyn, N.Y.) at the #9 position to lift the Mids to victory.

Match Highlights
• The matches finished in the following order: #7, 2, 6, 3, 5, 1, 4, 8, 9.
• Each of the first-six matches were decided in three games, while the final three went the distance.
• Ben Balser joined the squash team this season after spending his freshman year as a member of the varsity lacrosse team and did not compete in either sport a year ago.
• Navy honored its four senior members on Sunday as team captain Ryan York (Hunt Valley, Md.), Will Hyer (Bridgehampton, N.Y.), Ben Korn (Stevenson, Md.) and Gus Prager (New York, N.Y.) were playing for a final time at their home facility.
• Millen Randell (#2 / Jr / Chicago, Ill.), Matt Wang and Henry Sparkman finished the weekend 2-0, earning wins to lead the Mids to wins over Dickinson and F&M.
• Navy is now 38-24 all-time against Franklin & Marshall, including 26-6 in matches played in Annapolis.
• The Mids came into Sunday's match having lost two in a row to the Diplomats, last defeating them on Feb. 10, 2019 in a 5-4 decision in Annapolis.

What's Ahead
• Navy will play in the Mid-Atlantic Squash Conference Championship slated for Feb. 4-6 in Lancaster, Pa.
• The MASC includes Dickinson, Drexel, Franklin & Marshall, MIT, Navy and Virginia.
• Matchups for the tournament are expected to be released early in the week.
