ANNAPOLIS, Md. - After a three weeks away from the competition floor, the Navy gymnastics team will begin the second half of its 2022 schedule with a Saturday road meet at William & Mary. In their penultimate regular season competition, the Mids (5-0) will go head-to-head with the Tribe (2-6) at Kaplan Arena in Williamsburg starting at 2 p.m. Last in action on Feb. 20 against Springfield College, Navy will be looking to showcase the hard work that it has been putting in the gym during its extended break as the Mids have their eyes on improving their eighth place national ranking as the postseason lies ahead in just two weeks. Saturday's Navy-William & Mary meet will be livestreamed on the Virtius platform with live stats accompanying the broadcast.

Navy had a strong all-around performance from start to finish on Saturday in an ECAC matchup versus William & Mary. In their first head-to-head meet of the 2022 season and a precursor to next week's Army-Navy Star Meet, the Mids dominated the Tribe and outscored the visitors in all six disciplines on their way to securing a 390.25 to 354.60 victory at Halsey Field House.
Individually, Navy gymnasts won a total of five different events with
Isaiah Drake finishing first on the pommel horse and parallel bars, while
Josh Williams was the top finisher on the rings.
Connor Van Loo and
Cash Buske rounded out the top performers for Navy on the vault and high bar, respectively.
As a team, Navy scored 64.1 points on the floor exercise, 63.95 on the pommel horse, 66.35 on the rings, 70.75 on the vault, 65.1 on the parallel bars and 60.0 on the high bar.

Last Time Out: At Springfield on February 20
Competing in their sixth meet in as many weeks, the Navy gymnastics team trotted out a variety of new lineups against the Springfield College Pride on Sunday afternoon in Springfield. With their roster depth on full display, the Mids received a clutch performance by its high bar lineup on the final rotation to overcome a 3.1-point deficit and defeat the Pride by a 385.3 to 381.9 final score.
Navy had four individual event winners on Sunday's meet at Blake Arena led by the senior duo of
Dan Clark and
Dhiren Lutchman on the pommel horse and parallel bars, respectively. Additional winners for the Mids were freshman
Vishal Mandava on the rings and
Syam Buradagunta on the high bar.
As a team, Navy scored 61.65 points on the floor exercise, 64.05 on the pommel horse, 63.05 on the rings, 69.3 on the vault, 62.35 on the parallel bars and 64.9 on the high bar.
