ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The No. 22 Navy women's lacrosse team (8-2, 2-0 Patriot League) opens the week with a road game against Lafayette (1-7, 0-2) on Wednesday evening at 7:30 p.m. at Fisher Stadium in Easton, Pa. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+ and live stats will be available.
Scouting the Midshipmen
The No. 22 Midshipmen enter the weekend 8-2 on the season, including a 2-0 mark in Patriot League play. Navy used a strong second half to record an 11-7 victory over Lehigh, outscoring the Mountain Hawks, 7-1, in the second half to remain undefeated in the Patriot League.
Offensively, Navy has tallied 190 points on 134 goals and 56 assists in 10 games. The Mids have had a balanced attack this season. Of the 17 players who have scored points, nine have been upperclassmen (juniors / seniors) and eight have been underclassmen (freshmen / sophomores). Through 10 games, the upperclassmen have registered 78 goals, accounting for 58.2% of the goals scored, while the underclassmen have tallied 56 scores.

Roelofs paces the offense with a team-high 32 points on a team-best 23 goals and nine assists. Dietzel leads the team with 12 assists, while adding 12 goals for 24 total points. Denton is third on the team with 23 points on 19 goals with four assists. Ryan (18g 4a) and Eby (16g 5a) round out the top five with 22 and 21 points, while Beardmore (12g 8a) closes out the Mids' 20-point performers.
The Mids picked up 196 ground balls, won 146 draw controls, caused 70 turnovers, and tallied 90 saves.
Christine Fiore (Darian, Conn.) has grabbed a team-high 21 ground balls, while Eby and
Grace Loughery (Perkasie, Pa.) have added 20 GB apiece. Roelofs leads the team with 50 draw controls, while Dietzel is second with 38. Loughery and
Alexis Bell (Johns Creek, Ga.) lead the team with 11 and 10 caused turnovers, respectively, while Fiore and
Erin Carson (New Albany, Ohio) have added eight CT apiece.
Jo Torres (Prince Frederick, Md.) leads the team with 79 of Navy's 90 saves in just under 535 minutes of action. Torres has earned seven victories with a 51.0 save percentage. She is joined by
Emma Richardell (Bethesda, Md.) who has 11 stops in just over 60 minutes of action.
Scouting the Opponent
Lafayette enters the week 1-7 overall and 0-2 in the Patriot League. The Leopards are on a six-game skid, having lost to American (L, 13-9) and Bucknell (L, 16-9) in conference play.
This season, the Leopards have amassed 105 points on 72 goals and 33 assists in eight games. Lafayette has won 87 draw controls with 116 ground balls and 52 caused turnovers. Leopards' goalies have combined for 72 saves in eight contests with 123 goals allowed with a 36.9 save percentage and 15.38 goals against average.
Olivia Cunningham leads Lafayette with 24 points on a team-high 16 goals with eight assists. Clare Culligan is second on the team with 14 goals, while Abby Romano (10g 2a) and Meghan McLachlan (5g 7a) are tied with 12 points. Sarah Bennett rounds out the top five with 11 points, including a team-high nine assists.
At goal, Lexie Coldiron has seen a majority of minutes between the posts. She has 63 of Lafayette's 72 saves with 94 goals allowed for a 14.67 goals against average with a 40.1 save percentage.

The game marks the 14th meeting between the two teams. Navy holds a 13-0 (1.000) overall record against Lafayette. The Mids are 6-0 (1.000) all-time against the Leopards on the road. The game marks the first meeting between the two teams since 2019.
The last time the two teams met in 2019, Navy posted a 21-5 victory in Annapolis. The last meeting in Easton saw the Midshipmen post a 19-9 win over the Leopards in 2018.

National Rankings
The ILWomen / IWLCA Division I Poll was officially announced on Monday morning and the Navy women's lacrosse team remained ranked in the national poll. The Mids enter the week ranked No. 22. The Mids have been ranked four consecutive weeks this season. In its history, Navy has been ranked 67 total weeks, including a streak of 47 consecutive weeks from the final poll of the 2017 season (May 30, 2017) to April 12, 2021. In addition, the Midshipmen are receiving votes according to the US Lacrosse rankings.

Offensively, the Mids scored 11 goals on 35 shots with a pair of assists.
Reagan Roelofs (Apple Valley, Minn.) and
Charlotte Ryan (Tully, N.Y.) led the way with three goals apiece, while
Kasey Dietzel (Warrington, Pa.) added a pair of scores.

Torres won her seventh game of the season, working a complete game at goal. The sophomore tallied 11 saves in the game, marking her fourth double-digit performance of the season and the sixth of her young career. Torres held the Lehigh offense to just seven goals scored, limiting the Mountain Hawks to just one goal in the second half.
