ANNAPOLIS, Md. –– The Navy men's tennis team will play a pair of matches on Saturday in a split-squad doubleheader. The Mids (15-3) will play at NJIT (4-4) in Newark, N.J., and play host to Drexel (6-1) at the Tose Family Tennis Center in Annapolis. The match against the Highlanders will start at 11 a.m. and the match against the Dragons will start at approximately 2 p.m. after the conclusion of the Drexel at Navy women's match.

Navy (15-3)
The Mids enter the weekend having won eight-straight matches. Four of those wins occurred last weekend as Navy posted victories over Morgan State (7-0), George Mason (7-0), Duquesne (7-0) and Fordham (4-3).
Jack Dabek (Sr., Dublin, Ohio),
Gavin Segraves (Jr., Charlottesville, Va.) and
Derrick Thompson (Sr., Towson, Md.) have each posted 9-1 records in singles over their last 10 matches. Playing nearly as well in the recent stretch have been
Finn Garner (Jr., Arnold, Md.) and
Conners O'Brien (Rensselaer, N.Y.), each of whom has won eight of their last 10 matches.
Segraves has compiled a 16-6 singles record since the start of the fall season. His 16 victories are the most on the team, one ahead of Dabek's 15 wins.
Garner leads Navy this spring in doubles wins as he has posted an 11-0 record. He also is pacing the Mids in doubles wins on the season with a 17-2 record.
NJIT (4-4)
Of NJIT's eight matches this season, six of them have been determined by the final score of 4-3. This includes a 4-3 loss to Army and a 4-3 loss to a St. Francis Brooklyn team that had defeated the Mids by the same score.
The Highlanders compiled a 7-5 record during the 2021 season.
Navy and NJIT have met on three prior occasions. The Highlanders won the inaugural 2018 match, but the Mids recorded victories in both 2019 and 2020.
Drexel (6-1)
Included among Drexel's wins this season have been victories against three Patriot League teams. The Dragons have defeated Bucknell (7-0), Lehigh (4-3) and Boston U. (7-0).
Drexel finished last season with a 2-7 record.
Navy has posted an 8-1 record in the series with Drexel. The lone loss came when the teams last met during the 2020 season when the Dragons defeated the Mids by the score of 4-3.
