Series History
• Boston U. leads the all-time series with Navy, 12-7.
• The teams first met during the second round (regional semifinal) of the 1959 NCAA Tournament. The Terriers defeated the Mids, 62-55 in overtime, in a game played at the Charlotte Coliseum.
• The teams met on just one other occasion prior to Boston U. joining the Patriot League for the 2013-14 season. That additional game was a Dec. 30, 1988, win by the Terriers (75-54) at the Cable Car Classic in Santa Clara, Calif.
• Boston U. holds a 7-1 advantage over Navy in games played in Annapolis. Navy's first home win over Boston U. came earlier this year.
• Navy and Boston U. did not meet during the 2021 Patriot League season.
• The road team has posted a 13-3 record in the 16 Patriot League regular season games played between the teams, and had won 10-straight games until Navy won in Annapolis earlier this season.
• The lone previous league tournament game between the teams occurred in the quarterfinal round of the 2020 tournament when the Terriers defeated the Mids, 69-63, in a game played in Boston.
