Navy Football Places Four on National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society

ANNAPOLIS, Md.—Four Navy football players, guard Nick Bernacchi, kicker Ben Fee, fullback Isaac Ruoss and wide receiver Michael Salisbury have qualified for the National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society.
 
The Hampshire Honor Society is composed of college football players that have completed their final year of playing eligibility in the Fall of 2021, have a minimum grade point average of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale, have met all NCAA mandated progress towards degree requirements and have been a starter or significant contributor on the team.
 
Bernacchi, who has a 3.21 grade point average while majoring in Robotics and Control Engineering, played in 24 games in his career and started four games in 2021, including the Mids 17-13 victory over Army.
 
Fee, who has a 3.42 grade point average while majoring in Quantitative Economics, played in 17 career games as a kickoff specialist.
 
Ruoss, who has a 3.89 grade point average while majoring in Quantitative Economics, played in 32 games in his career and made three starts at fullback in 2021.  He finished with 750 career rushing yards and six touchdowns. Ruoss was also a 2021 CoSIDA Second-Team Academic All-American.
 
Salisbury, who has a 3.21 grade point average while majoring in Quantitative Economics, was a key contributor on Navy's scout team and was one of the most respected members of the team for how hard he worked on the field and in the weight room.
