Last Time Out - March 27 at Doc Hosea Invitational
Navy had a strong start to its day of racing at the 2022 Doc Hosea Invitational before Mother Nature forced the abrupt end of the competition mid-Sunday morning on March 27. With water conditions on the Cooper River worsening throughout the morning heat races, the tough decision was made to cancel the championship rounds of the two-part event. Should there have been championship finals, all five of Navy's boats would have been racing in grand finals after their performances in the qualifying heats.

Navy's first varsity eight crew was the first to see action on the Cooper River. Racing against No. 13 Syracuse, Temple, Columbia, Cornell and George Washington, Navy completed the 2,000-meter course with a time of 6:41.03 that ranked second in the heat behind Syracuse, who clocked in at 6:29.56. Amongst the 18 boats that were competing at the invitational, the Mids' time was sixth fastest, 1.46 seconds shy of Northeastern's fifth-place time of 6:39.57.
