ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Navy women's golf team is set to return to action on Feb. 12 with the Sea Best Intercollegiate, as interim head coach
Kylee Sullivan announced the team's full schedule for the spring portion of the 2023-24 season.
"I am looking forward to the spring season," said Sullivan. "I feel that it provides us with an opportunity to face high level teams and to showcase our talents. It will be a fun and exciting season."
Opening the spring in Jacksonville, Fla., for a third-straight year, the Midshipmen will play in the Jacksonville University-hosted tournament from Feb. 12-13 at the San Jose Country Club. Navy finished 14th in last season's event, with then-junior
Mara Hirtle tying for 37th on the player leaderboard.
A month break then precedes a return trip to the Red Rocks Invitational on March 18-19, as the Mids will look to defend their 2023 team title at the Oakcreek Country Club in Sedona, Ariz. Last season saw Navy post program lows for a team round and 54-hole team score at the event to capture first place, while then-rookie
Hallie Brisco secured a top-5 finish at even-par 216.
The Mids stay local for their following three events, beginning with the JEL Intercollegiate at Prospect Bay on March 29-30. Scoring a fourth-place finish last year at the event, Navy will return to the nearby Prospect Bay Country Club in Grasonville, Md., for the first of three-straight weekends of action.
Navy then head to Delaware on April 6 for a match-play event, with the Mids looking to avenge a playoff-hole loss to the Blue Hens in the 2023 match-play meeting between the squads. Wrapping up the regular season with the Navy Spring Invitational at the U.S. Naval Academy Gold Club on April 13-14, senior
Stephanie Lee will try to retain the individual title and Navy will look to improve upon a third-place finish from a season ago.
The Patriot League Championship is set for April 21-23 at the Bucknell Golf Club in Lewisburg, Pa.
