Gavin Segraves (Sr., Charlottesville, Va.) posted a 6-0 record in his matches last weekend as he won three singles matches in straight sets and teamed with Christian Pumpelly (St., Atlanta, Ga.) for three doubles wins in which the pair lost only seven games.  He was selected as this week's Patriot League Player of the Week for his efforts.

Richmond Preview
The Spiders opened the season with a 7-0 loss to the nation's No. 1 ranked team Virginia and most recently posted a 4-0 victory over Army.

Richmond compiled an 11-11 record a year ago and finished Atlantic 10 Conference play with a 3-3 record.  The fifth-seeded Spiders lost a 4-1 decision to fourth-seeded Davidson in the quarterfinals of the A10 Tournament.

Navy holds a 25-14 advantage in the all-time series with Richmond.  The teams have met in all but two seasons (2009, 2011) since 2000.  The Spiders posted a 4-3 victory over the Mids last season.  That was the sixth time in the last 11 matches in which the final score was 4-3.

Delaware Preview
The Blue Hens have notched 6-1 wins over Bucknell and Villanova this year and suffered their lone loss by the same score to Penn State.

Delaware ended the 2022 season with a 15-9 record and completed the Colonial Athletic Association regular season with a 4-0 record.  The Blue Hens were seeded third in the conference tournament and advanced to the semifinal round of the postseason where they lost, 4-1, to second-seeded UNCW.

Navy and Delaware have meet 14 times in the last 16 seasons.  The Mids defeated the Blue Hens by the score of 6-1 last season to improve to 14-0 in the series.
