ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- The Navy swimming and diving teams will travel to Lewisburg, Pa., this week for the annual Patriot League Championship being hosted by Bucknell at the school's Kinney Natatorium. The meet begins Wednesday afternoon and runs through Saturday night.

History
The Navy men's team will be trying win the program's 19th league title in as many years of competing at the meet and the women's team is vying for its 11th title in a row and add to its Patriot League all-sport record number of 21 championships. However, this year's meets are each expected to be the closest during the recent reign by the Navy teams.
Women's Preview
In looking at times and scores posted by teams entering the meet, the Navy women's team has recorded the league's best effort in five individual swimming events and three relay events. The Mids have posted the first, second or third-best times in a combined 12 individual swimming events and four relay events. Navy does not have a diver ranked first, second or third on either board.
Army ranks second to Navy with the fastest individual event swimmer in four events and has a swimmer among the top-three times in the league this year in 12 events. Army does not have the fastest time in any of the relay events but does have a combined four teams ranked second or third in the league and also has two divers with the second-best scores this season.
Navy's
Caroline Irwin (So., Buford, Ga.) is the top-seeded swimmer in both butterfly events,
Gabi Baldwin (Jr., Lake Elmo, Minn.) is seeded first in the 200 back and
Cameron Horner (Jr., Hebron, Md.) has posted the top time in the league this season in the 200 free. Horner also ranks second in the 500 and 1650 free events.
Lauren Walsh (Fr., Shelton, Conn.) is the top-seeded swimmer in the 200 IM, the No. 2 seed in the 200 breast and the No. 3 seed in the 100 breast. Rounding out the Mids who have posted top-three times in the league this year are
Hannah Pratt (Jr., Fishers, Ind.), who has the No. 2 time in the 100 free;
Megan Murphy (So., West Palm Beach, Fla.), who has the No. 3 time in the 100 back and
Tiffany Shields (So., Escondido, Calif.), who is seeded third in the 200 free.
Men's Preview
On the men's side, Navy swimmers have posted the fastest time in two events and have 13 efforts that rank first, second or third in the league. The Mids are seeded first in two of the relay events and each of their five relay teams rank among the top-three times in the league this year. Navy also has a diver ranked first, second and third in the league this year.
Army leads the way with the fastest time in 11 individual events and 23 top-three times this season. The Black Knights are seeded first in one relay event, second in one event and third in two events. Army also has one diver who is seeded first in the league and one diver who is seeded second.
Navy swimmers have posted the top times this year in both butterfly events.
Jonah Harm (Jr., Placerville, Calif.) leads the league in the 100 fly and
Patrick Colwell (Jr., New Canaan, Conn.) ranks second in the 100 fly and first in the 200 fly. Harm also is the No. 3 seed in the 100 back.
Jackson Schultz (Sr., Millersville, Md.) is ranked among the too-three swimmers in a team-best three events -- second in 200 breast and 200 IM, third in the 100 breast -- and
Garrett McGovern (Jr., Nashville, Tenn.) has notched the league's No. 2 time in the 100 free and the No. 3 performance in the 200 free.
Zach Stump (Fr., Westerville, Ohio) and George Brooker (Fr., Carlsbad, Calif.) have posted the Nos. 2 and 3 times in the league, respectively, in the 400 IM, Joshua Wurgler (Fr., Tallahassee, Fla.) is the third seed in the 1650 free and
Michael Phillips (Fr., Chanhassen, Minn.) is seeded third in the 200 breast.
George Moore (Jr., New Canaan, Conn.) has attained the league's best score this year in the one-meter diving event,
Blakeman Shaw (So., Coral Gables, Fla.) is the No. 2 diver in the three-meter event and
Anthony Sciulli (Fr., Powell, Ohio) is ranked third on the one-meter board.
