The 27th-ranked Navy squash team (14-18) played its final regular-season match on Saturday afternoon against third-ranked Princeton (10-2) in preparation for next weekend's College Squash Association Team Championship. Undefeated at home this season, the Tigers dealt the Mids a 9-0 loss at the Jadwin Squash Courts in Princeton, N.J.
Princeton, whose only losses this season have been to #1 Harvard and #2 Penn, won seven of the eight matches (ninth won by default) against the Mids by a 3-0 count.
Ben Balser (Sr / Brooklyn, N.Y.) was the lone Navy player to extend his match to a fourth game. James Kontulis built a 2-0 advantage at the #7 position before Balser scored an 11-3 win in the third game. Kontulis, however, would seal the victory in the fourth with an 11-4 victory.
