ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- Daniel Deaver (Sr., Falls Church, Va.) was named the Patriot League Men's Basketball Player of the Week on Monday.  It was his second award in three weeks and Navy's third-straight weekly accolade.

Deaver averaged 18.0 points and 10.5 rebounds a game in Navy's two victories last week.  He first posted 17 points and 13 rebounds in the team's 75-64 victory at Lehigh.  Deaver then tallied 19 points and eight rebounds in a 65-53 home win against Loyola.  He was 7-9 from the floor in totaling 14 points and six rebounds after halftime.

Deaver previously won the award on Feb. 6, with teammate Tyler Nelson (Sr,. Monroe, N.C.) garnering the laurel last week.  Deaver is the first Mid to be named the league's player of the week at least twice in a season since Worth Smith received two awards during the 2014-15 season.  Additionally, this is the third time Mids have won the award in three-consecutive weeks.  Kaleo Kina earned three-straight honors during the 2008-09 season and the duo of Skip Victor (two) and Chris Williams combined for three accolades in a row during the 1998-99 campaign.

Navy will close the regular season with games Wednesday at American and Saturday at home against Colgate.  The game between the Mids and the Raiders will tip at 4 p.m. and be aired on the CBS Sports Network.
