ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- Aniketh Ayinala (Fr., Charlotte, N.C.), J.J. Etterbek (Fr., Bloomfield Hills, Mich.) and Luke Garner (So., Arnold, Md.) each posted singles and doubles victories during a 6-1 win by the Navy men's tennis team over Fairleigh Dickinson (2-5), Friday evening at the Tose Family Tennis Center in Annapolis.  The Mids (8-10) also lost a 7-0 decision at NJIT (9-0) Friday afternoon.

Navy won the first two doubles matches to finish against Fairleigh Dickinson to take a 1-0 lead.  Ayinala and Etterbeek combined for a 6-2 win at the No. 3 flight in the first match to finish.  Garner and Sasha Panyan (Jr., Lutherville, Md.) then tallied a 7-5 victory at No. 1 doubles to give the Mids the 1-0 lead.

Christian Pumpelly (Sr., Atlanta, Ga.) made the score 2-0 when he posted a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 6 singles.  Garner followed with a 6-0, 6-3 victory at the No. 3 flight, then Etterbeek clinched the match with his 6-0, 6-4 win at No. 4 singles.  

Additionally, Gavin Segraves (Sr., Charlottesville, Md.) recorded a 6-3, 6-4 victory at No. 2 singles and Ayinala closed out play with a 6-4, 4-6, 1-0 (10-4) win at the No. 5 flight.

Navy will play two more matches Saturday. The Mids will face Villanova at 10 a.m. in Annapolis and play at Princeton at 10:30 a.m.
