ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- The Navy men's tennis team will play two Patriot League matches and four matches in all over the Easter Weekend. The slate for the Mids (14-18, 3-0) begins with Saturday matches at Drexel (5-10) and at Bucknell (12-5, 2-1). Navy then will play host to Colgate (3-14, 2-4) and play at George Mason (6-6) on Sunday.

Navy Review (14-18 / 3-0 PL)
Navy won a pair of Patriot League matches last weekend as it defeated Lehigh and Loyola by the same score of 7-0.
The doubles point between the Mids and the Mountain Hawks was not decided until the last match finished play. Navy won at No. 3 doubles to take the point, then won the first set in each of the six singles matches to take control. The Mids would win five of those six matches in straight sets.
Navy's doubles team lost just a combined six games in taking the doubles point against Loyola, then didn't drop a set in any of the six singles matches.
The Mids have collectively posted a 7-1 record in doubles and a 15-2 record in singles in their three league matches thus far this spring.
Drexel (5-10 / 0-1 CAA) - Saturday, Noon, Vitas Courts, Philadelphia, Pa.
Drexel and Navy have each defeated Villanova and St Francis Brooklyn and lost to NJIT, William & Mary and Temple this season. The Dragons also have lost to Bucknell (5-2) and Army (4-3) and defeated Lehigh (7-0).
Navy registered a 4-2 win over Drexel last season in Annapolis. The Dragons had won the previous match in the series, winning by a 4-3 score in 2021 in Philadelphia. Overall, Navy has won nine of the 10 prior matches in the series that began in 2004.
Bucknell (12-5 / 2-1 PL) - Saturday, 1 p.m., Varsity Courts, Lewisburg, Pa.
The Bison have opened league play with wins over Loyola (6-1) and Colgate (5-2) and a loss to Boston (4-0). Bucknell also has posted a 2-2 record against Delaware, Villanova, Saint Francis U. and St. Bonaventure, teams Navy has compiled a 3-1 record against.
Navy defeated Bucknell twice during the 2022 season, winning a 6-1 decision during the regular season and a 4-0 contest in the semifinal round of the Patriot League Tournament. Both matches were played in Annapolis.
Colgate (3-14, 2-4 PL) - Sunday, 10 a.m., USNA Tennis Courts, Annapolis, Md.
The Raiders will play at Loyola on Saturday before making the drive to Annapolis for Sunday's match at Navy.
Colgate's league wins have come against Holy Cross (4-3) and Lafayette (6-1) and its losses have been to Army (6-1), Lehigh (5-2), Bucknell (5-2) and Boston (4-0). The Raiders also have tallied a 1-3 record against St. Francis U., Dartmouth, Wagner and St. Bonaventure. In contrast, the Mids have notched a 3-2 record against those same four teams (two losses to Dartmouth).
Navy defeated Colgate by the score of 7-0 last season in a regular season match played in Hamilton, N.Y. The Mids previously recorded a 4-0 victory over the Raiders in the semifinal round of the 2021 league tournament. That was the first match played between the teams in three seasons.
George Mason (6-6, 2-2 A10) - Sunday, 2 p.m., GMU Tennis Courts, Fairfax, Va.
George Mason and Navy have each faced St. Francis U., Richmond, James Madison and Temple this season. The Mids and the Patriots have each defeated the Red Flash and the Spiders and lost to the Dukes and the Owls.
The Mids won a 7-0 dual against the Patriots last season in Annapolis in what was the first match between the teams in three seasons. The teams have met in the majority of the seasons since the 1999 campaign. Navy has won 18 of those 19 matches and also holds a 19-1 edge in the overall series.
