ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Navy women's golf junior
Stephanie Lee was one of five golfers named to the 2022-23 Academic All-Patriot League Team, the league office announced Friday.
Lee earns the honor for the second-straight season, becoming the fourth different women's golfer for the Midshipmen to be selected Academic All-Patriot League multiple times, joining Angelica Chan (2021, 2022), Morgan Frazier (2018, 2019) and Renata Bucher (2014, 2015, 2016).
The 2022-23 season saw Lee post a career-low scoring average of 76.04 over 26 rounds for the second-best mark on the Mids, helping Navy register a program-record 303.9 team scoring average and take home the team title in four tournaments. Individually, Lee had four top-10 finishes, highlighted by tying for third at the JEL Outer Banks Women's Intercollegiate and taking home medalist honors at the Navy Spring Invitational.
Picking up Patriot League Women's Golfer of the Week twice on the campaign, Lee's season highlight came at the Navy Spring Invitational when she set two program records, notching a program-record round of 5-under par 67 in the second round to post a program-low 36-hole score of 4-under par 140.
In the classroom, Lee has a 3.63 GPA while majoring in operations research. In addition to her aforementioned 2022 Academic All-Patriot League honor, the junior is a two-time Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) Scholar All-American (2021, 2022) and has been named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll following each of the previous two seasons.
