NEW ORLEANS, La. - Twelve members of the Navy track and field teams received All-Academic honors from the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Thursday.
Earning the honor from the men's team are
Baynes Autrey,
Brett Brady,
Pete deJonge,
Aidan Featherby,
Tom Fodor,
Collin Greene,
Braden Presser,
Benjemen Schneider and
Caleb Walker. Navy's representatives on the women's team are
Ellie Abraham,
Autumn Nicholas and
Annie Taylor.
Additionally, the Navy men's (3.06) and women's (3.11) teams were recognized for having a cumulative team grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
To be eligible for the individual team, a student-athlete must meet a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period. Athletes must also have completed at least two semesters or three quarters at the nominating institution.
Student-athletes must also meet the athletic requirements to be eligible for the distinction. Athletes are required to have finished the most recent indoor season ranked in the top 96 in any championship individual event or the top 48 in any championship relay event. For the outdoor season, competitors must have participated in any round of the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships, the NCAA Preliminary Championships and/or the final championship competition. Multi-event athletes need to have finished the season ranked in the top 48 in their respective regions in order to be eligible.
