ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Spearheading Navy's 1-0-1 effort during its opening week of action against Charleston Southern and St. John's, junior forward Alexa Riddle (Tomball, Texas) is this week's recipient of the NAAA Athlete of the Week presented by Northrop Grumman.

Riddle was active throughout the week for the Mids as the speedy attacker played 70-plus minutes in both of Navy's contests versus Charleston Southern on Thursday and St. John's on Sunday. Riddle netted the game-winning goal on Thursday with a tally in the 66th minute. For the week, she took eight shots with five on goal as Navy didn't a game at home at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility.

A two-time All-Patriot League honoree and the 2021 Patriot League Rookie of the Year, Riddle has now scored 11 goals with five assists over the first 39 games of her collegiate career.

Riddle and her Navy teammates will be back in non-conference action this Thursday evening when they make the short trip to College Park for a 6 p.m. showdown versus the University of Maryland.
