ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Navy women's triathlon team returns to competition this Saturday at the Duquesne Collegiate Cup at Brady's Run Park in Beaver Falls, Pa.
The NCAA women's sprint draft-legal race begins at 7:30 a.m. and consists of a 750m swim, 20k (12.4 mile) bike and 5k (3.1 mile) run.

"With a full field, nationally relevant competition and another Division I program in its first season, the Dequesne Collegiate Cup is a big and worthy test for our Mids. With more than a dozen teams and 70-80 athletes competing, this will fully test our team's focus from swim to bike to run," said head coach
Billy Edwards. "Queens and Wingate have consistently been on the podium as a team at NCAAs. Host Duquesne is also in its first competitive season as a team. I am excited to have us compete in our first swim-bike-run of the season this weekend and see how we stack up."

American International College, Delaware State, Duquesne, King, Navy, Newberry, North Central College, Queens University of Charlotte, Roberts Wesleyan, St. Thomas Aquinas College, Trine, Wagner and Wingate.
Recap of Wingate Bulldog SuperSprint Kickoff Duathlon
The Mids began their first varsity season at the Wingate Bulldog SuperSprint Kickoff Duathlon last Sunday.
Navy placed second of four teams with 92 team points in the run (2km / 1.24 mile), bike (16km / 9.94 mile), run (2km / 1.24 mile) duathlon format.
Haley Harris was the first of four Mids to finish in the top-10. The St. John's, Fla., native led the way for Navy by scoring 21 points with a fifth-place finish at 43:02.
Madeline Klippenstein and
Sara Jarman followed right behind Harris, finishing in sixth and seventh place, respectively. Klippenstein clocked in a time of 43:04 and Jarman posted a time of 43:07 to score a combined 39 points toward Navy's team score.
Zoe Adama also garnered a top-10 placement, finishing in eighth place at 43:14 to contribute 18 points to the scoreboard.
Emely Vela was the additional point scorer for the Mids. She added 14 points by placing 12th with a time of 43:48.
Anna Wekluk didn't score in the race, but was still an important contributor with a 14th-place finish at 44:10.
