WEST POINT, N.Y. -- The Navy doubles team of Jason Kim and Nathan Nguyen advanced to the semifinal round of the doubles draw at this weekend's ITA Conference Masters tournament for Patriot League teams at West Point, N.Y.

The inaugural playing of the event, which helps to form the draw for the fall NCAA Tournament, saw Kim and Nguyen post a 6-4 victory over Loyola's Noah Castillo and Nick Lawless in the quarterfinal round.  The Mids fell, 6-1, to the Lehigh tandem of Marc Blekhman and Sam Jaeger in the semifinal round.

Kim and Nguyen each won singles matches which were played in addition to the main draw at the tournament.  Kim recorded a 7-6 (7-1), 4-6, 1-0 (10-5) victory over Bucknell's Brendan McDonald and Nguyen tallied a 3-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-7) win over Illanes Camilo from Holy Cross.

Navy's fall season will close with the Mids playing in the Navy Invite and the Stetson Invite Nov. 8-10.
