ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Navy men's soccer team (4-6-4, 3-3-1 PL) returns home Friday night to honor its senior class, as the Midshipmen host Boston University (3-3-9, 3-1-3 PL) for a 7 p.m. Patriot League contest at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility in Annapolis, Md.
Set to recognize seven seniors prior to the game, Navy will be playing its first home game in nearly a month as a two-game homestand wraps up the regular season. The penultimate match before the postseason, Friday's contest is also a chance for the fourth-place Mids to continue their climb up the Patriot League table, with the second-place Terriers and Tuesday's opponent, third-place American, both standing in their path. The showdown between Navy and Boston is slated to stream on ESPN+ with Matt Sabados on the call.

Holbrook, Robisch Pick Up Weekly Honors

Bryce Robisch both claimed weekly honors on Monday for their efforts in last week's 1-0 win at Lehigh, as Holbrook was named the Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week while Robisch garnered the league's Defender of the Week … Holbrook finished the night with a season-best nine saves, as the senior stood tall to protect the lead by making four saves in the first half and then denied multiple grade-A chances in the second half for five more saves … For Robisch, he helped Holbrook and the Navy defense turn away 19 Lehigh shots while playing the full 90 minutes for the 14th time this season … This marks Holbrook's second time in his career winning Goalkeeper of the Week, with his last coming back on Sept. 19, 2022, while Robisch captured Defender of the Week for the first time in his career … Robisch is also the second Navy player to take home Defender of the Week honors this season, joining senior captain

Pierce Holbrook has picked up right where he left off from the past two seasons … League- and nation-wise, Holbrook paces the Patriot League with his 64 total saves (16th in NCAA) and ranks first in the league with 4.57 saves per game (18th in NCAA) and third at a .771 save percentage (35th in NCAA) … Holbrook's 18 career shutouts are the second most by a Navy goalkeeper since 1983, two shy of Brian Steckroth's 20 clean sheets from 1998 to 2001 … The 18 career shutouts are also the 17th most among active Division I goalies while his .758 career save percentage is 21st compared to other active DI keepers … With 64 saves last season and 69 saves in 2022, Holbrook is only the second Navy goalkeeper with three-straight 60-save seasons, joining Steckroth's run during the 1999-2001 seasons.

All soccer contests at Glenn Warner will be free of charge, as Fans 18 and over need a government-issued photo ID. Fans are reminded that the general public does not have access to drive their vehicles on to the U.S. Naval Academy. Fans may park at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium for a fee and take a shuttle that will run every 10 minutes starting one hour before the game and will continue running until one hour after the game is completed. Enter the Stadium's Gate 5 off Taylor Ave. to park. Pedestrians may also walk through the Naval Academy's Gate 1 or Gate 8. Dogs are not permitted inside the Glenn Warner Soccer Complex.
