Five Starting Notes
1 – This is the 11th season in which both schools are members of the Patriot League.  Despite the close proximity of the schools, the teams had met in just 24 seasons prior to Loyola joining the Patriot League, with 14 of those seasons occurring before the mid-1950s.
2 – Fourteen of the last 16 games in the series have been decided by single digits.  Each of the last six games in the series played in Baltimore have been determined by single digits.
3 – In Patriot Leagues games this season, Loyola's Deon Perry ranks first in scoring average (21.5 ppg) and Navy's Austin Benigni ranks second (17.9 ppg).
4 – The current Navy roster has scored 110 career points in games against the Greyhounds.  The current Loyola team has scored 253 points against Navy.
5 – Wednesday's game ends a nine-game span in which Navy plays six games on the road (Jan. 24-Feb 21).  The Mids had trips to Bucknell, Lehigh, Colgate, Army and Boston during this segment of the schedule.  Loyola is the only other league team that played as many as six road games in a nine-game stretch this season (Jan. 20-Feb. 17).

•    Navy makes the short drive to Baltimore Wednesday night (7 p.m.) when the Mids (8-17, 4-10) play at Loyola (6-21, 4-10) in Reitz Arena.

Last Game
•    The inside presence of Boston's post players took it to a 74-65 win over Navy Saturday in Boston.
•    The Terriers held a nine-point lead in the first half and built an 11-point cushion early in the second half.
•    The Mids closed to within four points at 48-44 and had another possession on which they could have climbed closer.  It ended with a missed triple.
•    Boston scored on its next five trips down the floor to take a 59-47 lead.
•    Both teams made six triples and Boston held just a 25-24 lead in field goals made.  The Terriers were 18-22 from the foul line to better the 11-17 effort by the Mids.
•    Navy snared 16 offensive rebounds but scored only 16 second-chance points.
•    Austin Benigni scored 19 points while Lysander Rehnstrom and Mike Woods each had 12.

About Loyola
•    Loyola has posted an overall record of 6-21 this season (1-9 in home games) and a Patriot League record of 4-10 (0-6 in home games).

•    The teams originally met during the 1909-10 season when Navy defeated Loyola, 36-10, in Baltimore.
