ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- The Navy men's tennis team (24-13, 3-2) begins its final seven days of the regular season with a Sunday morning (11 a.m.) match against Bucknell (12-5, 2-1) in Annapolis. The match is slated to be played outdoors on the USNA Tennis Courts and will move to the Tose Family Tennis Center should weather force the match indoors.
The Mids will additionally play a match Sunday at Hampton (5-12). The 11 a.m. match will be played at the school's Neilson-Screen Stadium.

The regular season ends Saturday, April 20, when the Mids play host to Army in the annual Star Match.
Navy (24-13, 3-2 Patriot League)
The Mids recorded one of their best victories of the 2024 season Sunday when they posted a 4-3 win over Georgetown.
Sasha Panyan and
Herrick Legaspi combined for a victory at No. 1 doubles and then each won straight-set singles matches (Panyan at No. 1, Legaspi at No. 2) to boost the Mids at the top of the lineup.
Nicholas Nguyen also won a pair of matches at No. 3 doubles, alongside
Jake Young, and at No. 6 singles.
The team that defeated the Hoyas also won a 6-1 decision over Loyola last weekend. Legaspi and Panyan again teamed for a win at No. 1 doubles, then Legaspi won a 6-3, 6-3 match at No. 2 singles. Young was the lone additional Mid to win two matches on the day as he and Nguyen combined for a victory at No. 3 doubles before he surrendered just five games in winning at No. 5 singles.
Bucknell (12-5, 2-1 Patriot League)
The Bison will play at Drexel Saturday before facing the Mids on Sunday.
Navy and Bucknell have had the same result against eight common opponents this season. This includes each beating Loyola and losing to Boston U. since the start of league play. The Bison also have defeated Colgate.
The Mids defeated the Bison twice last season, winning by the score of 5-2 at Bucknell during the regular season and 4-3 in the semifinal round of the league tournament in Syracuse, N.Y.
Hampton (5-12, 0-2 Coastal Athletic Association)
Hampton's weekend slate begins with a Friday match at home against Virginia State.
The Pirates this season have lost to Loyola, Fairleigh Dickinson and Temple and defeated Saint Joseph's. The Mids have defeated Loyola, Saint Joseph's and Temple and also lost to FDU.
Hampton posted a 10-9 record last season and lost in the first round of the CAA Tournament.
Navy and Hampton have met on just two prior occasions, with the Mids winning by the score of 5-2 in both 1997 and 2018.
