ANNAPOLIS, Md.—Navy senior punter Riley Riethman has been named to the Reese's Senior Bowl Watch List.
The Reese's Senior Bowl is widely regarded as the preeminent college football all-star game and the first stage in the NFL Draft process. The longest continues running all-star game has taken place in Mobile, Alabama the past 75 years. More than 900 NFL personnel, including key decision-makers from all 32 teams, and over 1100 media members from around the country were credentialed for the game this past spring. The April game produced 110 total draft picks, representing 43 percent of the entire NFL draft.
Riethman, who was named First-Team All-American Athletic Conference last year, enters the 2024 season as Navy's career leader in punting with an average punt of 44.0 yards.
Riethman, who has garnered Academic All-District recognition from the College Sports Communicators the last two years, averaged a school-record 44.8 yards per punt last year.
The last Navy player to be selected for the Senior Bowl was fullback Chris Swain in 2015. Only four Navy players have ever played in the game as Swain joined Joe Cardona ('14), Eric Kettani ('08) and Napoleon McCallum, who was MVP of the 1986 game.
