ARLINGTON, Va. -- Graydon Buckingham totaled three victories to pace the Navy men's tennis team in wins at the Commander-in-Chief Challenge held this weekend at the Army Navy Country Club in Arlington, Va.  The three-day event featured the Mids playing a round robin against players from Army and Air Force.

Buckingham teamed with Jake Young for a pair of victories in doubles.  The tandem first posted a 6-4 win over Army's Vishnu Bodavula and Alan Ton, then won a 7-5 decision against the Air Force duo of Tyler Leaird and AJ Moore.

Buckingham also won a 3-6, 7-6 (7-5), 1-0 (10-1) singles match over Air Force's Kyle Garner.

Four of Navy's singles losses came in tiebreakers that were played in place of a complete third set, one of which was Buckingham losing to Army's Daniel Choi, 6-1, 2-6, 1-0 (10-6)

Navy will continue its fall season this coming week by competing in both the Milwaukee Tennis Classic and the Liberty Invite.
