ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- The Navy swimming and diving teams (0-0) will open their respective 2025-26 seasons Saturday when the teams make the short drive to Baltimore to face UMBC (men: 1-0, women: 0-1) and William & Mary (0-0) in an 11 a.m. meet at the UMBC Aquatic Complex.

These three teams met last season in Annapolis. In the men's meet, Navy defeated both UMBC, 161-125, and William & Mary, 153.5-113-5, and the Tribe beat the Retrievers, 189-105. The women's results saw Navy post wins against both UMBC, 162-123, and William & Mary, 170-124, while the Tribe won a 204-90 decision over the Retrievers.
Navy - Men
The Mids return 28 letter winners from last year's team that posted an 11-4 record during the regular season and placed second at the Patriot League Championship. Included among the returners are 13 of the team's 15 all-league performers from last season. Back for the Mids are first-team all-league honorees

Navy - Women
Navy's 2024-25 team compiled a 9-5 record in dual meets and won the program's 13th Patriot League Championship in a row. Returning from last year's team are 27 letter winners. Among those are 10 of last season's 14 all-league recipients, including first-team performers

UMBC - Men
The Retrievers began their season last weekend with a 220-79 victory over American.
UMBC compiled a 4-3 record last season and placed second at the America East Conference Championship.
Navy has posted a 28-3 record against UMBC. The teams have faced each other each year, except for the 2020-21 COVID-abbreviated season, since the first meeting in 1993-94.
UMBC - Women
UMBC lost a narrow 155-147 decision last week at American.
The Retrievers posted a 3-4 record during the 2024-25 season and ended the campaign with a fourth-place finish at the America East Conference Championship.
Navy holds a 26-5 advantage in the all-time series between the teams. The inaugural meeting of the teams took place during the 1989-90 season. Since then, the teams have faced each other annually, except for during the 2020-21 COVID-abbreviated season, starting with the 1993-94 campaign.
William & Mary - Men
The Tribe concluded last season with a 5-4 record in dual meets and a fifth-place showing at the Coastal Athletic Association Championship.
Navy and William & Mary have met on just two prior occasions. In addition to last season's dual, the teams also met in the fall of 2018 when the Mids won a 181-119 decision over the Tribe.
William & Mary - Women
William & Mary posted a 7-3 record during the 2024-25 regular season and placed second at the Coastal Athletic Association Championship.
Navy holds a 9-6 lead over William & Mary in the series since the teams first met during the 1978-79 season. The teams have met just twice since Navy joined the Patriot League for the 1991-92 academic year (2018-19, 2024-25).
