Last Time Out: vs. Quinnipiac
Quinnipiac put together a strong second half to defeat Navy, 29-10, last Saturday at the Prusmack Rugby Center in Annapolis. The Bobcats outscored the Mids 21-5 after halftime.
After a balanced first 11 minutes, Quinnipiac broke the stalemate in the 12th minute with a successful penalty kick from Gillian Mason. The Mids responded six minutes later when
Ella Callahan capped a clean lineout-to-maul sequence for their first try of the game to take a 5-3 edge.
A handling error on the restart gave the Bobcats favorable field position, which allowed Gabrielle Appiah to power in a try in the 30th minute to put Quinnipiac back on top, 8-5, at halftime.
The Bobcats added three more tries in the second half to pull away from the Mids.
