ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Coming off its highest-scoring output of the season, the Navy men's soccer team (3-6-5, 0-4-2 PL) is slated to host Longwood (2-8-3, 0-4-1 Big South) in its final non-conference game of the campaign Tuesday evening at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility.
 
The Midshipmen and Lancers are set for a 7:05 p.m. opening kick, as Navy tries to end its four-game winless streak while Longwood seeks to snap its own five-game winless stretch. Tuesday's game will stream on ESPN+, with Tim Nolan handling the play-by-play duties.
 
The Kids Are Alright
With rookies Nick Gallucci and Luke Parker scoring in Saturday's 3-3 draw against Lafayette, it marked the first time two Navy freshmen have scored in the same game since Jacob Williams and Bayne Bentley tallied goals in a 2-1 win over Boston U. on Oct. 20, 2018 … Alongside Will Cawlfield's goal earlier this fall against William & Mary, it also marks the first time that three Navy freshmen have scored in a season since the 2018 campaign when Joe Alex, Collin Armstrong, Bentley and Williams all registered goals.
 
Non-Con Comments
The Mids have posted a 3-2-3 non-conference record this season, including going 3-1-3 at home against non-league opponents … Navy has outscored the non-conference competition by a 9-7 margin in those eight games while generating 12.4 shots per game … Robert Eaton has posted a 0.69 goals against average and .862 save percentage in six non-conference starts, going 3-2-0 in those games.
