ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Navy women's triathlon team begins its postseason stretch on Saturday at the NCAA East Regional Qualifier at Lake Norman State Park in Troutman, N.C. Action is set to begin at 10 a.m.

Race Information
The race will follow a sprint-distance format of a 750m swim, a 20km bike ride and a 5k run and will be split into two heats. Heat B will kick off the day at 10 a.m. followed by Heat A is scheduled to begin at noon.

NCAA Championship Qualifying Criteria
ÂÂÂÂThe top-20 finishers in Heat A among both the East and West Regions will earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Championship. An additional 35 individuals from Heat A and 75 individuals from Heat B will earn at-large bids based on their performances and regardless of the region in which they competed.

Navy's History at the NCAA East Regional Qualifier
Navy has competed in the NCAA East Regional Qualifier every year since becoming a varsity program in 2023. The Mids placed sixth (20 teams) in 2023 and eighth (21) last season.

Wang, Cashin and Kistler are Navy's lone returners from last year's squad who competed in the regionals. Wang led the Mids with a 30th-place finish in 1:02:27, followed by Cashin's 49th-place time of 1:05:26, while Kistler posted a time of 1:17:13 to finish 87th.
