BRIDGEPORT, Pa. – The Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) announced its 2025 All-Conference teams and Navy water polo was well represented, placing five members on the teams. Junior
Kiefer Black led the way for the Mids, claiming first-team distinction for the third consecutive season. Sophomores
Quinn Bartlett and
Ryan Munch were named to the second team, while junior
Aiden Day and sophomore
Orion Erwin rounded out the Midshipmen selections as honorable mention picks.
Black becomes the seventh player in program history to earn First Team All-Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (formerly All-CWPC) three times, joining Lawrence Kough (1983, '84, '85), Tom Popp (1986, '87, '88),
Luis Nicolao (1989, '90, '91), Alex Ratcliffe (2003, '04, '05), Kyle Wertz (2009, '10, '11), and Isaac Salinas (2019, '20, '21). Additionally, Black is the second Midshipmen under Nicolao to be named First Team All-MAWPC three times.
The Midshipmen will travel to the Bronx, N.Y. for the 2025 Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference Championship Tournament, on Friday through Sunday, November 21-23. The Mids, who earned the No. 2 seed, begin play in the tournament against seventh-seeded Mercyhurst on Friday, Nov. 21 at 4:30 p.m.
11 – Kiefer Black, Attacker | Jr. | 6-7 | 220 | San Diego, Calif. | La Jolla
With his selection, Black becomes a three-time First Team All-MAWPC selection. The junior leads the team with 124 points on a team-high 66 goals with a team-best 58 assists. Additionally, Black leads all position players on Navy with 28 steals, while ranking third on the squad in ejections drawn. This season, Black became the all-time leader in Navy career history in points scored (420) and assists (192), while entering the conference tournament third all-time in goals scored (228). Black registered his third consecutive 100-point season (125 points in 2023; 171 points in 2024; 124 in 2025) to become the first player in program history with three 100-point seasons.
1B – Ryan Munch, Goalkeeper | So. | 6-5 | 200 | San Diego, Calif. | Valhalla
Munch, who was the 2024 MAWPC Rookie of the Tournament, claimed Second Team All-MAWPC honors for the first time in his young career. The sophomore leads the team with 137 saves, while also notching a team-high 29 steals. Munch has registered six games with double-digit saves, including four against Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference opponents. The San Diego native notched a season-high 15 stops in a victory over #20 George Washington.
17 – Quinn Bartlett, Attacker | So. | 6-0 | 180 | Newport Beach, Calif. | Newport Harbor
Bartlett earned his first all-conference honor, being selected to the second team. He is third on the team with 55 points, 31 goals, and 24 assists. The sophomore posted a season-high four goals against Iona and Wagner, while adding a season-best four assists against the Seahawks. Additionally, Bartlett has recorded 25 ejections drawn with 11 steals to his credit.
9 – Aiden Day, Attacker | Jr. | 6-1 | 205 | Oceanside, Calif. | Cathedral Catholic
Day earned All-MAWPC honors for the second time in his career being named honorable mention as a junior after being tabbed second team as a freshman. The attacker is second on the team with 70 points on a balanced 38 goals with 32 assists. Day finished the regular season with four hat tricks, including a season-high six goals against Mount St. Mary's. The sophomore notched a season-high four assists in a win over MIT.
2 – Orion Erwin, Attacker | So. | 6-3 | 195 | Encinitas, Calif. | Cathedral Catholic
For the second consecutive season, Erwin earned all-conference distinction. A Second Team All-Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference selection in 2024, the sophomore was named honorable mention in 2025. He is fifth on the team with 34 points on 20 goals and 14 assists. Additionally, Erwin has added 18 ejections drawn and 11 steals.
