Kiefer Black Named ACWPC Honorable Mention All-American

Junior Kiefer Black was named honorable mention All-American for the third time in his career.

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. – The Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) announced the 2025 Men's Division I All-America teams and Navy attacker Kiefer Black was named as honorable mention selection. It is the third All-American accolade in his career, earning honorable mention distinction as a freshman (2023) and sophomore (2024).

Black becomes the fourth player in program history to be named All-American three times, joining Luis Nicolao (1989, '90, '91), Nick Hill (2000, '01, '02), and Isaac Salinas (2019, '20, '21).

Black, who was named to the Cutino Award Watch List earlier in the season, finished the year by earning First Team All-Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference, while also being selected to the First Team MAWPC All-Tournament team.

The junior led the team with 135 points on a team-high 71 goals with a team-best 64 assists. Additionally, Black led all players on Navy with 35 steals, while ranking third on the squad in ejections drawn with 35.

This season, Black became the all-time leader in Navy career history in points scored (431) and assists (198), while ranking third all-time in goals scored (233). Black registered his third consecutive 100-point season (125 points in 2023; 171 points in 2024; 135 in 2025) to become the first player in program history with three 100-point seasons.
