BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- Navy's
Aidan Kehoe was named this week's Patriot League Player of the Week for men's basketball, the league announced earlier this week. It is the first weekly honor of Kehoe's career.
The senior center fell one point shy of a pair of double-doubles as he averaged 15.5 points and 11.0 rebounds a game in Navy's two wins last week. He shot 76.5% (13-17) from the floor and totaled 31 points, 22 rebounds, four blocks and three steals in the two games.
Kehoe first was 10-13 from the floor in scoring 22 points during an 88-55 victory by Navy over Coppin State. He also snared 12 caroms to record his third 20-point double-double of the season.
He then played only 16:29 during Navy's 70-23 win over NCAA Division III Rosemont College. Kehoe was 3-4 from both the field and the foul line in scoring nine points and also grabbed 10 rebounds in the game.
Navy will open its Patriot League campaign Dec. 31 at 1 p.m. when the Mids play host to Boston University.
