ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- The Navy swimming and diving teams combined to win five events Friday during the opening night of the ECAC Championship in Lejeune Hall.
The Navy men's team totaled four victories to end the start of the three-day meet in first place. Â
Cedric Brooking won the 500 free,
Coleman Yates placed first in the 200 IM,
Austin Lockhart led a 1-2-3-4-5 Navy finish in the 50 free and the Mids won the 200 free relay with the team of
Thomas Morris,
Natanas Gaver,
Henry Cain and Lockhart.
Loyola ranks second with 141.5 points.
The Navy women's team of
Jackie Scheneman,
Maddie Koutavas, Julianne McCranie and
Samantha Aguirre won the 400 medley relay event by 36-hundredths of a second. Â Bucknell is in first place with 212 points and the Mids stand second with 169 points.
The Mids continues Saturday and ends Sunday.
