ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Closing out a 10-game homestand, the Navy baseball team is set to host a pair of home midweek contests this week at Terwilliger Brothers Field at Max Bishop, welcoming Coppin State for a 3 p.m. game on Tuesday before turning around to face Maryland Eastern Shore on Wednesday in another 3 p.m. first pitch.
 
Winners in nine of their last 11 games, the Midshipmen enter the week with a 12-11 overall record, while the Eagles will come into Tuesday's matchup with a 4-17 record and the Hawks are 4-18 on the season entering Wednesday. Tuesday's contest will be broadcasted on the Navy Athletics YouTube page and WNAV radio.
 
Homestand Heroes
In the first eight games of the current homestand, Navy has posted a 6-2 mark … Jack Killelea has led the Mids with a .364 average in the eight-game stretch, scoring eight times and also drawing eight walks to post .563 on-base clip and extend his on-base streak to 14 games … Ty DePerno is hitting .360 in that same stretch, totaling 10 RBI with two doubles and two home runs … Tyler Bouchard was batting .353 during the homestand before his injury … Evan Brown has also swung a hot bat during the extended stay in Annapolis, batting .346 with two doubles and a triple … Landon Kruer has made four appearances during the homestand, tallying a 1.50 ERA and three saves in six innings of relief.

Posting a 5-4 midweek record last season that included a 3-2 home midweek mark, Navy is 3-0 this year in midweek contests with wins over Manhattan, Fordham and Dartmouth … Ty DePerno is hitting .556 across those three midweek games, tallying four runs and three RBI, while Victor Izquierdo has batted .500 in those contests with 10 RBI … Izquierdo batted .444 in midweek games last season, racking up four doubles, eight runs and 10 RBI over those nine starts, while 12 walks helped him post a .625 on-base percentage in midweeks.
 
Navy in the NCAA Stat Rankings
