Setting the Stage
• Inside the Game: After spending the last two weekends on the road, Navy (6-4, 2-2 Patriot League) returns home Friday evening to play host to Lafayette (7-3, 3-2 Patriot League). Faceoff is set for 7:00 pm at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. The game is presented by First Command. Navy is led by Joe Amplo, who has put together a 41-30 record in his 6 seasons at the helm of the Mids' program, while Lafayette's Patrick Myers has posted a 27-59 record in 7 seasons as the Leopards' head coach. The contest marks the 26th meeting in a series that dates back to 1926.

Navy-Lafayette Series
• Saturday's contest marks the 26th meeting between the two programs, and the 22nd since the Midshipmen joined the Patriot League in 2004. Navy leads the series 23-2.
• Navy has never lost to the Leopards in 14 meetings in Annapolis.
• Navy and Lafayette first met in 1926 with the Mids earning a 23-0 win. The two teams battled one another three times between 1929-31 before the series went on pause. The two programs would not meet again until the Mids joined the Patriot League.
• The Mids won 10 straight against the Leopards before dropping the program's first game to Lafayette on March 12, 2010 in Easton. Navy won seven in a row before falling a second time, again in Easton, by a 9-8 count in 2017. Since that loss, Navy has won 5 in a row.
• Navy has scored double digits in 19 of the 25 games, while the Mids have held Lafayette to single digits 22 times.
• In the 25-game history, the Mids have outscored the Leopards, 309-137.
Scouting Lafayette
• Seventh-year Lafayette head coach Patrick Myers has led the Leopards to a 7-3 record this spring, including a 3-2 mark in the Patriot League. After dropping back-to-back Patriot League contests to Army and Colgate, the Leopards have won 4 in a row - NJIT (14-4), Holy Cross (13-8), Loyola (11-10) and Bucknell (14-5).
• The Leopards are 2-2 in games played on the road, beating Le Moyne (15-4) and Loyola (11-10) and losing to Drexel (12-10) and Army (15-5). Lafayette has played 4 of its last 5 contests at home.
• Lafayette stands 19th in the country and 4th in the league in scoring offense, averaging 12.30 goals per game. The Leopards have been held to single digits just ONCE this year - a 15-5 loss to Army. Additionally, Lafayette is ranked #1 in the country in shooting percentage (36.5).
• Riley Sullivan (Sr / A) has been sensational, scoring 60 points on 25 goals and 35 assists. He is ranked #2 nationally and #1 in the league in points per game (6.67). Additionally, he is 29th nationally in goals per game (2.78) and #1 in assists per game (3.89). Rookie Joshua Heaney (A) has produced 22 points on 18 goals and 4 assists, while fellow rookie Nicholas Blalock (M) has posted 18 points on 13 goals and 5 assists.
• Lafayette's defense has been stout, allowing 9.40 goals per game which is 19th best nationally and 3rd best in the league. Joe Doherty (Jr / GK) has had a fine season between the pipes where he has started all 10 contests and owns an 9.54 goals-against average and a 55.0 save percentage.
• In terms of "special teams" play, Lafayette's extra-man squad has scored 11 goals on 34 opportunities (32.4). On the other side of the ball, the Leopards' man-down squad has squelched 19 of the opponents' 34 EMO's (55.9).
• Evan Prince (Sr) has taken the bulk of the faceoffs this spring for Lafayette, winning 110 of the 192 draws (57.3) he has taken. He stands 22nd nationally and 3rd in the Patriot League in winning percentage.
Senior Salute
• Navy's 14 senior lacrosse players and 6 senior support members will be honored in a pregame ceremony prior to Friday night's contest.
• Navy's Class of 2025 has put together a 32-24 (57.1) record, including a 17-11 (60.7) mark in Patriot League action.
• Additionally, the senior class has posted a 1-2 record against Army in the annual Star Game.
• Navy's seniors will graduate on May 23 and be commissioned Ensigns in the Navy or 2nd Lieutenants in the Marine Corps.

Navy to Host 2025 NCAA Quarterfinal Site
• Hofstra (Saturday, May 17) and Navy (Sunday, May 18 / 12:00 pm & 2:30 pm) will serve as the host sites for this year's NCAA Quarterfinal games. Navy has previously hosted the quarterfinal round 7 times - 2007, '08, '09, '12, '15, '18, '23. Navy will also host quarterfinal games in 2027.
• Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass., will be the site of the 2025 NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championships (Div. I, II, III) and Div. I Women's Lacrosse Championship. These championships will represent the 2nd time the home of the NFL's New England Patriots has hosted the combined men's and women's event and the 6th time (2008-09-12-17-18) it has hosted the men's championship. In 2017, the venue became the 1st to host both the men's and women's championships. Harvard will serve as the host school.
