ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Navy women's golf team concluded its 2025 season on Wednesday, placing 11th following the third round of the NCAA Gold Canyon Regional at the Superstition Mountain Golf and Country Club.
Playing at the par-72, 6,544-yard Prospector Course, the Midshipmen posted a 13-over par 301 over the regional's final round to notch a tournament score of 49-over par 913 (299-313-301). The Mids' 913 score was just ten strokes behind 10th-place Sacramento State and 11 strokes behind the ninth-place team, No. 44 Virginia Tech.
Tying for 30th in the final standings as the top Navy golfer, sophomore
Emma Tang carded a 2-over par 74 on Wednesday to hold 9-over par 225 (75-76-74) for a three-round score.
Three strokes behind Tang, freshman
Megan Kirkpatrick shot a 4-over par 76 in her final round of the season to grab a share of 41st place at 12-over par 228 (73-79-76).
Also shooting a 4-over par 76 on Wednesday, sophomore
Keira Howard closed the week in a tie for 48th via a 14-over par 230 score (76-78-76).
Junior
Sue Lee recovered to register a 3-over par 75 over Wednesday's 18 holes, pulling herself into 58th overall at 22-over par 238 (82-81-75), while senior captain
Bridget Hoang placed 59th in the field following a round of 85 to wrap her final collegiate event at 24-over par 240 (75-80-85).
Fifth-ranked Oregon claimed the top spot at 12-under par 852 in the Gold Canyon Regional's 12-team field, while host Arizona State, Oklahoma State, Mississippi State and CSU Fullerton earned the regional's other four bids to the NCAA Championship. The Ducks' Kiara Romero, holding the No. 3 ranking among collegiate golfers, paced the player leaderboard with a 16-under par 200 score.
