ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- The Navy swimming and diving teams will play host to the six-team Navy Invitational Saturday starting at noon at Lejeune Hall in Annapolis. A link to live results from the meet can be found at NavySports.com.
Navy Men
The men's team closed its regular season by winning 15 events during a 153-130 victory over Columbia on Jan. 23 in Annapolis. The win boosted Navy to a 12-1 record in dual meets this season. The last time Navy won as many as 12 meets in a year was during the 2015-16 season when it also compiled a 12-1 record.
Individually,
Chase Maier earned his fourth Patriot League Rookie-of-the-Week award of the season as he won the 1000 free (9:17.79) by eight seconds and also placed first in the 500 free (4:30.90) by four seconds.
Navy Women
The women's team finished the year with an 8-4 record after it defeated James Madison by the score of 153-146 last Saturday in Harrisonburg, Va. The Mids won only seven of the 16 events, but placed first, second and third in four of those races to earn the win over the winner of the 2024 and '25 Sun Belt Conference titles.
