ANNAPOLIS, Md. – With senior
Emma Tang winning her fifth-career individual medal, the Navy women's golf team used a strong start Saturday to tie Stetson atop the leaderboard when action wrapped Sunday, with tiebreakers giving the Midshipmen runner-up honors at the 2026 Navy Fall Invitational in Annapolis, Md.
Playing at the par-72, 6,084-yard U.S. Naval Academy Golf Club in its lone home tournament of the season, the Mids jumped out to a commanding lead by shooting an 8-over par 296 on Saturday. Navy's 25-over par 313 in Sunday's round allowed Stetson to catch the hosts and earn a share of first place at 33-over par 609 for the weekend. Forcing tiebreakers, the Hatters then took the team title over the Mids with a better fifth counting score on Sunday, repeating as tournament champions after winning last year's edition of the Navy Fall Invitational.
The 36-hole event also marked the final home tournament in the Navy careers of Tang and fellow seniors

Una Johnson, who were honored at the conclusion of Sunday's round.
Tang captured the Navy Fall Invite's individual crown for the second time in three years, opening play with a 4-under par 68 on Saturday that tied for second all-time in program and course history. She then finished the event with a 2-over par 74 in the final round to post a 2-under par 142 for the weekend, beating runner-up Paris Fieldings of Howard by five strokes. Tang's 142 total strokes also tied her own 2024 Navy Fall Invitational-winning mark to rank second in program history for 36-hole scores.
