ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Posting a four-game sweep of Patriot League foe Lafayette to end a long homestand, the Navy baseball team (22-13, 9-7 PL) starts a five-game road swing Tuesday afternoon with a non-conference contest against George Washington (12-22, 6-9 A10) at Tucker Field at Barcroft Park.
 
Navy and GW are set for a 3:00 p.m. first pitch, beginning a stretch that will see the Midshipmen play eight of their next nine games on the road. Tuesday's contest between the Mids and Revolutionaries can be streamed on ESPN+ with Matt Sabados on the call.
 
Grenn Named Patriot League Pitcher of the Week
Navy senior Tyler Grenn was named the Patriot League Pitcher of the Week on Monday … Grenn was simply dominant in Navy's 1-0 win in 11 innings Saturday, tossing 8.1 shutout innings against Lafayette …Despite not factoring into the decision, Grenn worked into the ninth inning and held Lafayette to just six hits and a walk while retiring seven via the strikeout … On the season, Grenn holds a 1.89 ERA over 14 appearances, registering 31 strikeouts to six walks in 38 innings … The righty now has a 0.45 ERA in six Patriot League outings this spring, striking out 18 batters in 20 innings to just two walks … This marks Grenn's fifth-career Patriot League Pitcher of the Week honor and he becomes the fourth different Navy pitcher this season to claim the award.
 
Return of the Brown Bear
Evan Brown is hitting .333 in 10 appearances (eight starts) since returning from injury, logging five runs and eight RBI … Since returning to the lineup full-time on April 4, Brown has recorded a hit in every game for an eight-game hitting streak … Brown has also swiped three bases in that stretch and walked four times … Additionally, he has provided a steady hand in the infield, splitting time between second base and third base and posting a .955 fielding percentage in 22 chances.

Navy is 4-2 this year in midweek games, hitting .271 … Ty DePerno has hit .429 in midweek games and has tallied a .579 on-base clip … Victor Izquierdo is batting .348 and slugging .565 in six midweek games, also accounting for five runs and 10 RBI … Chris Klug is hitting .375 in three midweek starts, while Tyler Cripe has hit .318 in six midweek games … Jackson Beattie holds a 0.00 ERA in four midweek relief appearances, holding opponents to three hits while striking out seven in 8.1 innings … Ian Brown has a 5.65 ERA as a midweek starter this year, striking out 14 in 14.1 innings across his four midweek starts.
