ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Looking to make history and win its third-straight Patriot League title, the Navy women's golf team is set to host the 2026 Patriot League Championship this weekend at the U.S. Naval Academy Golf Club.
 
Being held Friday through Sunday on Navy's par-72, 6,084-yard home course, the league championship will see the five-team field begin tee times each day at 8:30 a.m. With a first-place finish, the Midshipmen would become the first back-to-back-back Patriot League champions since former affiliate member Richmond's three-peat from 2016-18. A championship would also be the Mids' fourth Patriot League crown overall, adding to Navy's previous league titles in 2021, 2024 and 2025.

Two-time defending champion Navy will be joined by fellow Patriot League members Boston University, Bucknell, Holy Cross and Lehigh … The Mids have crossed paths with Bucknell at the Nittany Lion Invitational, the Navy Fall Invitational and the El Campeon Collegiate … Navy and Holy Cross have competed together at the Navy Fall Invitational and Kingsmill Intercollegiate this season … Navy has seen Lehigh at two tournaments this campaign, the Lehigh Invitational and the El Campeon Collegiate.

Junior Emma Tang paces the Mids with a 76.24 scoring average, also leading the team with a trio of top-10 finishes … Sophomore Vivian Cressman has the team lead with two rounds at par or below each, while fellow sophomore Megan Kirkpatrick's 71 in the first round of the Kingsmill Intercollegiate is a Navy season best … Rookie Angelina Kim has posted two top-10 finishes this season … Navy's best team round of the year came in the second round of the Terps Invitational, with the Mids shooting a 5-over par 293.
 
Navy at the PL Championship
The Mids have finished in the top-3 of the league championship in five of the last six tournaments, including taking home the program's first PL crown in 2021 to earn Navy's first NCAA Regional berth and then going back-to-back with the 2024 and 2025 league titles … The 2021 Championship in Bethlehem, Pa., saw three Mids tie for fourth to help Navy finish at a weekend-best 57-over par 921, as both Mara Hirtle and Stephanie Lee shot 14-over par 230 to earn First Team All-Patriot League honors … In 2022, the league tournament had Navy place third in Annapolis at 76-over par 940, as Lee finished tied for seventh at 236 while Hirtle took ninth overall at 238 … The 2023 championship had Hirtle lead the way with a ninth-place finish at 5-over par 221 while Navy posted a 32-over par 896 score to place fourth in Midlothian, Va. … Capturing the 2024 Patriot League Championship in Lewisburg, the Mids finished with a three-day score of 42-over par 882 while Stephanie Lee shot a tournament score of 8-over par 218 to earn individual medalist honors and Sue Lee closed as the tournament runner-up … Seeing a Midshipman earn the individual medal for the second consecutive year, Navy closed out its second-straight league title with a 38-stroke victory at the 2025 Patriot League Championship in Bethlehem, as Emma Tang claimed the individual medal at even-par 216 and had four teammates join her with All-Patriot League finishes.
 
Mids at the USNA Golf Club
The Mids have hosted the Navy Fall Invitational in seven of the past 10 years, with the 2022 edition of the tournament being the first time that the host team took home first-place honors while Navy repeated as team champions in 2023 and 2024 … The Mids have also hosted 10 editions of the Navy Spring Invitational, as the Mids took home the 2019 team title and finished as the runners-up in the 2014 and 2025 events, while 2023 saw Stephanie Lee earn individual medalist honors with a program-low 36-hole score of 4-under par 140 and Sue Lee had a medal-winning 3-over par 147 during the 2024 event … Navy has hosted the Patriot League Championship three previous times, placing third in 2022, finishing as runner-up in 2018 and ending up in third place in 2015, with the best individual home performance being Morgan Frazier's runner-up finish in 2018 at 14-over par 230
