What They're Talking About
• Navy can clinch a Patriot League Tournament berth with a win over Lehigh on Saturday.
• Navy's 13.42 scoring average is its best since 1979 when the Mids averaged 13.62 (177 G, 13 gms).
Alec Gregorek (So / A) has scored multiple goals in 11 of the 12 contests this spring. He scored multiple goals in each of the first 11 games of the season which is a school record for most consecutive multiple-goal games in a single season. Joe Bossi previously held the record when he rattled off 10-straight games with multiple goals in 2004.
• Behind a career-high 8-point performance against Holy Cross, Mac Haley (Sr / A) became just the 3rd Navy player since 2000 to reach the 40-point mark in a season multiple times in a career (43 in 2025, 47 in 2026), joining Ian Dingman and Jon Birsner.
• Haley (47 pts) needs just 3 more points to become the Mids' 1st 50-point scorer since 2016 when Patrick Keena finished the year with 55 points (24-31).
• Haley (47 pts) and Gregorek (42) are Navy's 1st 40-point tandem since Ryan Wade (20-28=48) and Christian Daniel (31-12=43) did it in 2019.
• With 24-career points (12 G, 12A), AJ Marsh (Jr / D) is Navy's record holder for points scored by a long pole. He has scored 5 goals and dealt out 5 assists this spring. He had a remarkable 7-game point-scoring streak snapped last weekend by Army.
• With 4 wins at Army last weekend, Zach Hayashi (Jr / FO) took sole possession of 2nd on the Mids' all-time faceoff wins leader board with 367. Brady Dove set the record with 637 wins from 2014-17.
• Dating back to last spring, Navy has won 7-consecutive games when leading at the half, including 5 this season. Under Joe Amplo, the Mids are 37-4 when leading at the half.
• During the Joe Amplo era, Navy has lost just 2 games when holding its opponent to 9 or fewer goals. The Mids are 32-2 when achieving that feat since 2020 and 3-0 this season.

Navy-Lehigh Series
• Two of the oldest programs in the sport's history, Navy (119th year) and Lehigh (137th year) will meet for the 49th time in a series that began in 1910. It's the 8th-most games Navy has played against an opponent and the 2nd most against a team in the Patriot League.
• The Mids own a 32-16 advantage in the series. Navy was 19-1 against the Mountain Hawks before it joined the Patriot League in 2004 and 13-15 since (11-11 in the regular season, 2-4 in the league tournament).
• Navy won the first 3 contests in the series before suffering its first loss, a 4-3 decision in 1913. The Mids then won 25 in a row (1914-2010) before Lehigh dealt Navy a 14-10 loss in Bethlehem in 2011. That win sparked a 5-game winning streak by the Mountain Hawks over the Mids. Navy snapped that 5-game skid in 2015 when it outscored Lehigh 4-2 in the final quarter to earn a 13-12 win at home.
• Heading into Saturday's contest, the Mountain Hawks have won 10 in a row against the Mids dating back to 2018. Navy's last win in the series was a 10-7 victory on March 24, 2018.
• Navy has failed to score in double figures against Lehigh in 7 of its last 10 contests. Among Navy's 16 losses in the series, Navy has failed to score double figures in 13 of those games.

Scouting Lehigh
• Will Scudder, who joined Lehigh's coaching staff in 2014 and served as associate head coach for the 5 years leading up to him being named the head coach, is in his 3rd year guiding the Mountain Hawks. In his inaugural season, he guided Lehigh to a 10-7 record, won the Patriot League Tournament title and nearly knocked off 3rd-ranked Johns Hopkins in Baltimore in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament.
• Lehigh owns a 5-7 record, including a 2-4 mark in Patriot League contests. The Mountain Hawks have league wins over Loyola (15-10) and Holy Cross (13-5), while dropping games to Bucknell (12-11), Boston U. (14-13 OT), Army (14-11) and Colgate (9-7).
• Leading the way for the Mountain Hawks in the scoring column are 3 players with 30-plus points. Luke Breslin (So / A) tops that list with 52 points on 24 goals and a team-best 28 assists. Finn Morgan (Fr / A) has produced 44 points on a team-high 37 goals and 7 assists, while Andrew Kelly (Sr / A) has 12 goals and 18 assists for 30 points.
• Three-time All-Patriot League defenseman Richard Checo (Sr) is among the nation's leaders in caused turnovers with 28. His 2.33 caused turnovers per game are #1 in the Patriot League and #6 in the nation. Harrison Vassel (So / D), meanwhile, has forced 11 turnovers.
• Standing between the pipes this season is Kasey Heath (Jr), who owns an 11.29 goals-against average and a 53.0 save percentage. He's averaging 12.50 saves per game.
• Connor Riley (Jr) has taken over the faceoff duties this season, winning 116 of his 228 (50.9) draws. Meanwhile, Johnny Kidd (Sr) has won 26 of his 70 (37.1) faceoffs and Bryan Folsom (Fr) is 5 for 12 (41.7).

Historic Programs
• One of the oldest programs in the sport, Navy is in its 119th year of having a varsity men's lacrosse team. It is the 5th-oldest program in Div. I men's lacrosse.
• Four of Navy's opponents this spring are among the sport's top 10 oldest, including this Saturday's foe Lehigh who is in its 137th season and is the 2nd-oldest program.
• Johns Hopkins, who played host to the Mids in March, is in its 139th season and is the oldest program. Additionally, Johns Hopkins is the only team to reach 1,000 wins (1,040).
• Army and Navy met last weekend in West Point in what was the 106th game in the series. It's the most games Navy has played against another opponent and the sport's 7th-longest rivalry.
