ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Navy men's soccer head coach
John Hackworth announced the team's full schedule for the upcoming 2026 season on Wednesday, highlighted by a seven-game home slate.
Playing an 18-game regular-season campaign, the Midshipmen open the fall with a trip to California before returning to Maryland for four-straight games, leading Navy right into Patriot League action. The Mids will then stay in conference play for seven of their final eight contests, including Army-Navy Cup XV.
"We are excited about opening our season in San Diego and then playing strong regional competition," said Hackworth. "That will help prepare us for our main objective of the Patriot League, highlighted by us facing Army in Philadelphia once again."
The 106th campaign of Navy Soccer begins on Thursday, Aug. 20 when the Mids travel to the Pacific coast for a meeting at UC San Diego and follow it with an Aug. 23 crosstown match at San Diego State.
Making its way back east, Navy will open the home slate on Friday, Aug. 28 with a 7:00 p.m. contest against regional foe George Washington, kicking off a three-game homestand that also features the first all-time meeting with Presbyterian (Aug. 31) and the renewal of its all-time series against Temple (Sept. 5).
After staying in Maryland for a Sept. 8 game at Mount St. Mary's, the Mids start their league slate on Sept. 12 when the team treks north to face Holy Cross in Worcester, Mass., while the road swing ends with a trip to Longwood on Sept. 15.
Coming back to Annapolis for its first Patriot League home game on Saturday, Sept. 19 against Boston University, Navy stays local Sept. 22 when it makes the short ride to in-state rival UMBC before resuming league play that week at Lehigh on Sept. 26.
Opening October with a home meeting against Colgate on Oct. 3, the Mids then make the familiar drive up to Chester, Pa., for Army-Navy Cup XV. The rivalry contest with the Black Knights is set for 7:00 p.m. at Subaru Park on Friday, Oct. 9.
Hitting the closing stretch of the regular-season, Navy travels Oct. 13 to William & Mary for its final non-conference contest before heading to defending Patriot League champion Lafayette on Oct. 17.
Taking on in-state league foe Loyola in an Oct. 24 match at Glenn Warner Soccer Facility, the Mids then trek to Bucknell on Oct. 30 for their penultimate game of the regular season, while the regular-season finale is slated for Nov. 3 at home against another regional rival in American.
The Patriot League Tournament is set to begin on Nov. 7 with the first round, while the league semifinals will be played on Nov. 10 and the Patriot League Championship set for Nov. 14.
