Cross Country All-American John Lawlor '67

On Friday, October 16, generations of Navy distance runners and track & field alumni gathered for an alumni reception inside the Ron Terwilliger ‘67 Center for Student-Athletes. Hosted by the Navy Letterwinners Association on the eve of the annual cross country Star Meets against Army, the event served as both a rallying ground to support the current Midshipmen and a celebration of a storied program’s foundational history. The evening culminated with a few words from one of the most decorated runners ever to don the Navy singlet: John “Buzz” Lawlor ‘67.
