Armed Forces Triathlon Champion Hannah Walz '23

 

By the time LTJG Hannah Walz earned her Navy wings in January, she had already built a reputation for thriving under pressure. A 2023 U.S. Naval Academy graduate, collegiate national champion triathlete, and now a two-time Armed Forces Triathlon Championship winner, Walz has learned how to navigate two demanding worlds at once, military aviation and elite endurance sports.

Coach's Corner: Shawn Bagnall

As his team prepares for the 2026 IRA National Championship in California, Coach Shawn Bagnall sat down with the Navy Letterwinners Association to talk about his men's lightweight rowing team. Coach Bagnall is the longest-tenured Navy lightweight rowing coach and, among his other accolades, has helped guide 10 midshipmen into the Navy Athletics Hall of Fame.
