ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Navy women's rugby team (4-5, 7-1 in 7s) looks to extend its momentum in 7s competition Sunday when it travels to the Quinnipiac 7s Tournament in Hamden, Connecticut.
The tournament, which features eight teams representing five schools, is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m., with placement games starting at 2 p.m.
The Midshipmen were also scheduled to compete in the Cherry Blossom 15s on Saturday in Washington, D.C., but the event was canceled due to a lack of participating teams.

Navy Notes
• The Midshipmen enter Sunday's tournament on a six-game winning streak that includes three shutouts over LIU (36-0), La Salle (50-0) and Penn State (41-0).
• Navy secured its first tournament title of the season at the West Chester 7s, defeating Mount St. Mary's (36-7), La Salle (50-0), West Chester (40-7) and Penn State (41-0).
• The Mids have showcased their depth this spring, with 12 different athletes scoring a try through the first two tournaments.

Cecilia Izquierdo leads the team in tries (eight) and total points (40).
Catherine O'Hara ranks second with seven tries, matching her total from last season.

Mia Young leads the team with 14 conversion kicks and has added two tries.
Hannah Brink has split kicking duties, recording 14 points on seven conversions.
Scouting Army
• Army is coming off a third-place finish at the Tropical 7s Tournament last weekend. The Black Knights went 3-3 overall, with victories over Penn State (34-0), Canada Misfits (26-5) and Brown (30-0).
• This will be the fourth 7s tournament of the season for Army, which previously competed in the Brown 7s, Sacred Heart 7s and Tropical 7s.
Navy vs. Army
• Sunday's meeting will be the third time the programs have squared off in 7s competition. Army won both previous meetings, including a 22-0 decision at last year's Women's 7s Premier National Championship.
Scouting Sacred Heart
• The Pioneers enter the weekend with a 12-1 record and two tournament titles this spring (Navy 7s and Pioneers 7s).
• Sacred Heart recently hosted the Pioneers 7s, where it defeated Quinnipiac (22-10), LIU (38-24), AIC (35-17) and LIU (38-10).
Navy vs. Sacred Heart
• This is the second all-time 7s meeting between Navy and Sacred Heart. The Pioneers defeated the Mids 39-10 in their first meeting at last year's national championship tournament.
Scouting New Haven
• New Haven holds a 1-1 record in 7s entering Sunday. Its lone victory came against Southern Connecticut State (26-12) at the Chargers 7s.
Navy vs. New Haven
• Navy and New Haven met for the first time last season at the Collegiate Rugby Championship. The Midshipmen defeated the Chargers 30-0 in the seventh-place game.
