ANNAPOLIS, Md.--Saturday's Army-Navy Basketball Doubleheader at Alumni Hall (5,710) is sold out. The men's game tips off at 12-noon, while the women's game will start at approximately 3 p.m. The general public will be allowed entry into Alumni Hall beginning at 10:30 a.m.
CBS College Sports will televise Saturday's men's game live with Dave Ryan and Pete Gillen calling the action. Pete Medhurst and Michael Heary will call the game on the Navy Radio Network (1430 AM WNAV, 1090 AM WBAL and 1500 and 820 AM WFED). The women's game will be streamed live on www.navysports.com and will also be broadcast on 1430 WNAV with Medhurst calling the action.
The Navy men enter Saturday's game with an 8-11 record and a 2-2 mark in the Patriot League. Army is 12-6 overall, 2-2 in the Patriot League. The Navy women are 10-9 on the year, 2-2 in the Patriot League, while Army is 8-10 overall and 2-2 in league play.
Navy is 8-3 in head-to-head competition against Army this year, winning in men's soccer, women's soccer, men's cross country, sprint football, women's volleyball (split with Army), women's swimming, men's swimming and football. Navy has won the overall competition against Army in 14 of the last 15 years.
The Navy Football Team, coming off a school record tying 10 wins including a victory over Missouri in the Texas Bowl and a record seventh-straight Commander-In-Chief's Trophy, will be honored at halftime of the men's game.
