Getting to Know ... Michael Rakoczy

Sept. 9, 2010

ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- NavySports.com recently sat down with Navy sophomore midfielder Michael Rakoczy to find out more about the men's soccer player from Cincinnati, Ohio. Rakoczy was ready to play for Dave Brandt at Messiah, but when Brandt was hired at Navy in December 2008, Rakoczy sought out an appointment to the Naval Academy. Rakoczy is a talented trombone player and likes to watch the exploits of Snooki, "The Situation" and Pauly D.

The Navy men's soccer team hosts a strong UMBC team on Saturday, Sept. 11, beginning at 8:00 pm at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility. Fans that bring their Georgia Southern football ticket stub to the soccer game can gain free admission.
